Professor of law at Cahors and Toulouse, who died in 1637 and was considered by Dupin to be an esteemed commentator (no. 1735), this commentary is the fruit of his lectures at the University of Toulouse. It is a very rare commentary on the institutions in the Justinian Code, of which there are—apparently—only four copies in public libraries worldwide; notably, it is missing from the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF), and in the United States. This edition was compiled by Jean de La Coste, with corrections by Jacques Cujas based on the work of Guillaume Nivard.
