We present a captivating work that goes far beyond a simple compilation of Guy Pape's decisions. Indeed, in this fourth edition, Chorier has completely revised the content and form of the 633 "quaestiones" that Guy Pape had written sequentially and without any plan. While continuing to include references to Guy Pape's Questions, the author creates a division into five books, summarizes the exposition and the judgments, and adds rulings from more recent legislation and legal scholarship. The result is a veritable treatise, revealing in particular that decisions in criminal matters constitute only a small part (Books 4 & 5). This work also reveals the leniency of the decisions in the Dauphiné region, often justified by the reaction of legal scholars to royal legislation. (R. Martinage, Les recueils d'arrêts et dictionnaires de jurisprudence, MDD 2005). Dupin, ref. 1378.
