This is a very interesting anonymous collection of conclusions from the Advocates General of the Parliament of Provence, as well as opening speeches and various other texts. It notably includes lengthy and insightful analyses of the status of magistrates in the 18th century and the respective powers of public authority and the judiciary. It also contains discussions on questions of civil law, particularly concerning the consequences of insanity and legal incapacity. Thus, the entire work is deeply influenced by 18th-century debates on both the concept of the rule of law and the role of reason. Indeed, its anonymity is likely due to the very progressive positions it contains.
