    An admirable text, perhaps the best customary law commentary ever written, certainly superior to those of Dumoulin. It should be noted that Coquille placed an introduction at the beginning of the text comparing customary law and Roman law. The edition presented here is the second to appear; moreover, it is quite moving in its presentation as a much-used yet pleasant research tool.
