    Volume two (which is missing) collects all of Duplessis's secondary treatises; volume one constitutes the final edition of his treatise on the Custom of Paris. J.-L. Thireau, in the Dictionnaire historique des juristes français (Paris, PUF 2007), which does not mention our edition, indicates that this treatise “is among the most widely circulated and undoubtedly the most highly regarded legal works of that period.”
