    One of the most remarkable achievements of post-war commercial law doctrine, this collective work, centered around a single theme, examines the concept both in its historical aspects (before the Commercial Code by G. Sautel, in subsequent doctrine by A. Poinsard) and in its legal framework (formation by F. Derrida; the relationships between principals and agents with third parties by B. Starck). In his preface, J. Hamel emphasizes that this is a collaborative work undertaken for the purpose of preparing students for the competitive examination for university teaching positions. A rare find.
