(Dupin no. 979). The works of Henrys, who was the King's Advocate at the Presidial Court of Forez, enjoyed great success, being regularly reprinted from 1650 until the end of the 18th century. It appears that we possess the first edition by Bretonnier. They contain, in particular, a general collection of legal questions, the aim of which is to compile the jurisprudence of all the parliaments of France in order to attempt to establish the foundations of a common law. The author, moreover, opposes those who claim that this common law should be found in customs and, for his part, seeks it in Roman law. Working copy.
