    This work is undoubtedly the most important treatise on legislation and procedural jurisprudence in Provence from the entire 18th century. Its methodology and comprehensiveness make it one of the most highly regarded commentaries, which remains a source of numerous studies even today. In particular, one cannot help but be convinced by the quality of the study on the "Execution of Judgments," which practically fills the entirety of our second volume. Dupin is mistaken in mentioning a six-volume quarto edition of the Journal du palais de Provence published between 1782 and 1786 (Ref. 1402). Cl.-Fr. Achard (Dictionnaire de la Provence et du comté venaissin, Marseille, Jean Mossy, 1787, p. 510) indicates a 1762 edition, which must therefore be an error (!).
