    R. Plaisant's excellent thesis on company law is summarized in the preface as follows: "All corporate law is based on the concept of legal personality. The purpose of corporate groups is precisely to give legal autonomy to entities that could otherwise be considered a single entity. In the legal arsenal, there is hardly any nuance between legal personality and the absence of legal personality; depersonalizing satellite companies would be contrary to the very reason that led to their creation."
