    The latest, posthumous edition, updated by A. Hauriou, still contains the famous preface from the 11th edition, but also includes Maurice Hauriou's responses, written before his death, to Bonnecase's criticisms of his theory of the institution. Although not the most frequently cited edition, it is Professor Chapus's preferred one.
