The rulings of La Roche-Flavin are less well-known than his major work, "The Thirteen Parliaments of France," and are quite rare. This is because they were published at the very beginning of the 17th century (first edition in 1617) and were not reprinted until 70 years later. It should also be noted that the annotator of these rulings was F. Graverol, a lawyer in Nîmes, who deliberately gave an anecdotal tone to the observations he added to the collection of rulings, so that it was probably intended to be seen, in a way, as a work of popularization. But it is precisely this that is likely to interest us today: the substantial passages on debauchery and on "regulations in times of plague." It should be noted that the work is complemented by the same author's treatise on feudal rights, which is very difficult to find separately. A very rare early 16th-century edition.
