    10 volumes in-8, brown half-morocco, gilt titles and volumes on spines with four raised bands underlined by double blind tooling, marbled endpapers, (some scuffing on spines, some very slight bumping of corners, some light foxing and spotting), good condition. [This work comes from the personal library of Professor Jean Carbonnier (1908-2003)].
    An extremely rare complete collection of the first major French legal journal, which also served as a forum for one of the most original French legal circles of the 19th century: opposed to the School of Exegesis, its members, such as Jourdan, Blondeau, Ducaurroy, Demante, Macarel, Cormenin, Isambert, Rénouard, and Lerminier, drew inspiration from the German school of Savigny. The richness of these texts cannot be described here (see Ph.
