    octavo, half black morocco, gilt title framed by gilt fillet, spine with 5 raised bands underlined by blind-stamped tools, compartments framed with double blind-stamped tools, (slight light damp stain at the head of the work which has not affected the legibility of the text, rare light foxing), binding in good condition, interior fresh, XVI-564 p.
    This work, by the author, is devoted to this aspect of the law stemming from the adoption of the Civil Code in 1804, some of whose proposals subsequently gave rise to much criticism.
