    "The purpose of the elementary course program is therefore to adapt the Commentary on the Forestry Code by the same author for teaching purposes, and to restrict its study to the provisions whose knowledge is essential for forestry agents. This program indicates what should be read first in the commentary, and what should be reserved for a more in-depth examination of the forestry legislation. It also offers the advantage of presenting, within the same framework, the provisions of the Forestry Code and those of the regulatory ordinance, which are grouped in such a way as to offer a complete whole, something that was impossible to do by following the order of the law; since several articles of the ordinance of August 1, 1827, do not have corresponding provisions in the Forestry Code."
