    in-8, beige half-leather, gilt title on a burgundy morocco binding decorated with gilt fillets and friezes, spine decorated with gilt fleurons with framing gilt fillets, red edge, text in Italian, handwritten Ex-Libris, (rubbed edges and blunt corners, slight tear on the upper joint, foxing in the interior), well preserved work, XII-343 p.
    One of the author's greatest works, in which he examines how Roman sources were received in the Middle Ages and how the customs of various peoples were influenced by ancient precepts. Naturally, it employs the historical and scientific method, with a constant return to primary sources and critical analysis. The high quality of the translation should also be emphasized. This is the Italian version of *Geschichte des römischen Rechts im Mittelalter*.
