    This work is presented as a collection of studies resulting from lectures given by Th. Ducrocq at the Faculty of Law in Paris. It addresses “the acts of mayors,” “the acts of mayors carried out by prefects in their stead,” “the suppression and creation of municipalities,” “inter-municipal conferences and the various ways in which inter-municipal interests are addressed.” This collection of studies is little known despite the author's innovative analyses of the nature of supervisory power and the status of municipalities after the 1884 law.
