Following on from the "Annotated Codes" published by the publisher from 1870 onwards, this new edition differs profoundly. Significantly more substantial (for example, each of the first three articles of the Code contains over 700 paragraphs of annotations), it remains valuable today, and perhaps even more so, for its bibliographical quality. In addition to references to general Dalloz case law, it provides highly precise references to all 19th-century authors. Similarly, case law is cited with all its references, making it an absolutely essential scholarly working document.
