This work is particularly interesting for its comprehensive study of the immunity of churches, that is, the fact that people who had taken refuge within them could not be apprehended by the law. The author emphasizes that this privilege also extended to non-believers and Jews, and to perpetrators of all crimes, including murderers, except those who committed homicide within the church.
