(Dupin No. 1135). One of the most important works of 18th-century technical legal production, so much so that one of the first authors to write a treatise on prescription based on the provisions of the Civil Code did not hesitate to call it “the new Dunod.” Reading the text is of constant interest because the author does not limit himself to the technical study of prescription (even though this remains of obvious interest given that the Civil Code largely transposed the solutions of the old law on this subject) but also addresses the theoretical questions raised by prescription, and in particular its relationship with the law of nations and natural equity.
