Édition :
    Avignon
Date :
    1766-68
quarto, mottled blond calf, spine with 5 raised bands decorated, title page in burgundy morocco, marbled edges, (scratched boards, damp stains, wear to corners and edges, upper joint slightly split, upper headcap worn, some foxing and heavy damp staining at the bottom of the work which has caused marginal losses), library mark, 170-XIX-276 p.
Chêne (p. 196) indicates that the commentary on the 1731 ordinance first appeared in 1737, accompanied by Aymar's commentary. The Avignon edition presented here is the most widely circulated. These ordinances were drawn from one of B.'s last lectures, and the quality of the text is quite remarkable. The title pages of each work feature a portrait of Louis XV as a frontispiece.
