By the former dean of the Faculty of Law at Rennes, this monograph examines the texts by which the Vichy regime, breaking with the logic of the Civil Code, granted married women a legal status practically equivalent to that of their husbands and encouraged judicial intervention regarding the rights of spouses. This text appears to be the printed version of a lecture given at the Faculty. It should be emphasized that it constitutes the most comprehensive study conducted on this subject (see, however, the articles published in the Semaine Juridique in 1943 by Julliot de la Morandière and de Juglart). It is very rare and notably lacking in the Bibliothèque nationale de France (BnF).
