(Dupin no. 990 for Vol. 1; Vol. 2 is missing from Dupin's collection). Ricard's treatise on wills has always been considered the best work on the subject. The treatise on the revocation of gifts by the birth or arrival of children is very interesting for its study of the legal regime of natural and legitimized children. It also contains some curiosities: "whether a child born after a cesarean section can revoke a gift made by its father before its birth," and "whether a monstrous newborn enjoys the privilege... to revoke a gift." The work concludes with a very substantial commentary on the Custom of Senlis, which was omitted in later editions in favor of a commentary on that of Amiens.
