    Alongside his classic Treatise on Copyright Law, Renouard continued his study of intellectual and industrial property with this equally fundamental text on patents, which is perhaps even rarer than the one previously mentioned. This edition bears little resemblance to the earlier one of 1825. And we must emphasize the major theoretical interest of the preface devoted to the role of the State in the development of industry, which demonstrates a legal interpretation of liberal doctrine.
