octavo, half black calfskin, spine with raised bands and decoration, good condition except for some foxing, INSCRIPT BY THE AUTHOR, VIII-456 p.
One of the best texts on the history of the judiciary, published by one of the few alumni of the short-lived School of Administration of 1848. Its main strength lies in its great clarity and didactic approach, even if the study of the sources is not conducted in the most rigorous scientific manner. It is worth noting that it was sent to Alfred Blanche, then Advocate General at the Court of Cassation and author of the highly successful Dictionary of Administration.
