    A collection of three texts, two of which are fundamental, both relating to the Restoration. First, the first edition of Chateaubriand's major political text, which marks his initial break with the existing regime, a regime he had nonetheless fervently desired. Second, the first edition of a rare text by Benjamin Constant (not included in the constitutional politics course) which calls for the dissolution of parliament to allow a referendum on the strengthening of the regime's authoritarian character.
