RONDONNEAU (L.)
THE ADMINISTRATIVE AND MUNICIPAL LAWS OF FRANCE OR THEORETICAL AND PRACTICAL MANUAL FOR PREFECTS, SUB-PREFECTS AND MAYORS; OF PREFECTURAL, DEPARTMENTAL, DISTRICT, AND MUNICIPAL COUNCILS FROM 1789 TO 1823, with the supplement from 1822 to 1826 and from 1826 to 1832
Édition :
    Paris
Date :
    1823-1833
5 vols. in-8, brown half-morocco, spine with raised bands and decoration, gilt title, marbled edges, (gilts faded, lower headcap of vol. 5 missing, lower joint of vol. 1 slightly split, slight impact at the bottom of the second plate of vol. 1), very fresh interior.
A valuable compendium of substantive administrative law in dictionary form, with several hundred entries, some anecdotal (artifact maker), others far more fundamental (Council of State, police, etc.). All legal references are included, as well as the principal rulings of the Council of State, making it a major source of information for this period prior to the final structuring of the Lebon collection. We also have the two supplements that completed the work up to 1832. (Not available at Berkeley, not available at Harvard)
