Treatise on judicial organization which also includes an interesting analysis of the principle of the separation of powers and the function of the administrative judge in the first half of the 19th century. F. Laferrière ranks it among the foremost "Glories of the Country" (History of French Law, vol. 2, p. 403). Carré was a professor in Rennes and a colleague of Toullier at that faculty, which produced many of the most eminent legal scholars of the 19th century.
