    H. H. was one of the great hopes of the Faculty of Law. He was the only contributor to the Centenary Book of the Civil Code who was not a professor of law. His study on "The Renewal of Legal Studies on the Consulate" remains, a century later, the standard reference on the subject. But he was killed during the First World War (see the Golden Book of the Faculty of Law of Paris, 1914-1918). His thesis, Historical and Critical Study of Legislation and Jurisprudence Concerning Civil Societies, with a preface by Ch. Lyon-Cæn, in which he notes that it received the Rossi Prize, the highest award then bestowed by the Faculty of Law of Paris, is also included. Here we have another work by the author, the dissertation that won the first gold medal in the 1904 Faculty of Law competition, on the "Distinctive Characteristics of Associations Subject to the Law of July 1st." 1901 (titles I and II) », as well as a prize from the Academy of Legislation of Toulouse, to which the author notably added, for its publication, developments on religious associations and meetings.
