    folio, full contemporary fawn calf, gilt title on ochre morocco paper, spine with 6 raised bands richly decorated with gilt fleurons and geometric motifs, red edges, printed in 2 columns, two-color title page, handwritten Ex-Libris, (binding rubbed with some scuffs and missing leather, upper headcap torn, lower headcap worn with no gilt, edges rubbed and corners worn, light dampstains on 2 sets of 40 p.), [4 ff.]-798 p.-[1 ff.].
    A councilor to the king and prosecutor at the seneschal's and presidial court of Le Puy, this is the author's only written work. It consists of an alphabetical collection of the principal texts, legal opinions, changes, decisions, and jurisprudence in civil and canon law. Jean Hilaire notably highlights the quality and reliability of this collection (in *Les recueils d'arrêts et dictionnaires de jurisprudence*, edited by S. Dauchy and V. Demars-Sion, Paris, MDD, 2005, p. 21 et seq.). This work does not appear to have been widely distributed; we have identified only eight copies in France (including one at the Cujas Library).
