“Ms. Folain-Le Bras undertook the study of this draft ordinance, and the work she devoted to it is worthy of high praise. Moreover, Ms. Folain-Le Bras did not intend to review all the incapacities provided for in the draft. She retained only a few, those, it seemed to her, “where the work of adapting jurisprudence, aided by legal scholarship, and the work of preparing modern solutions is most evident.” The cases thus selected, each of which is given a special chapter, are those of the foreigner, the interdicted person, the religious, and the married woman. (…) All the questions, so numerous and sometimes so delicate, relating to the theory of civil death and religious profession, the solutions provided by pure canon law and also by secular law, give rise to very detailed analyses, to which the reader will refer with great profit.” » (E. Durtelle de Saint-Sauveur, Revue d'histoire de l'Église de France, n° 112/1941, p. 252 et seq.).
