"The book does indeed reproduce some—fourteen in fact—of the articles published by Sir Otto. They are grouped under five headings: labor law, family law, conflict of laws, comparative law, and legal education. It would be pointless to try to list them all. Let us simply note that those dealing with comparative law are essential reading for all comparatists: Comparative Law as an Academic Subject, On Uses and Misuses of Comparative Law, and English Law and American Law - Some Comparative Reflections. In the introduction, Mr. Martin Partington explains the ideas that guided the rigorous selection process. The most significant articles were sought, of course, but with the aim of ensuring they were representative of the work as a whole, and therefore touched upon the main areas of law that interested Sir Otto. Furthermore, a certain preference was given to articles originally published in relatively inaccessible journals or edited volumes." » (A. Tunc, RIDC n° 4/1978, p. 1094 et seq.).
