    in-12, full fawn calfskin, gilt title on garnet morocco paper, smooth spine richly decorated with floral motifs and gilt fleurons, and gilt framing fillets, red edge, gilt roll on the edges, vignettes, headbands, decorated initials and tailpiece, (a superficial wormhole on the front cover, corners slightly bumped), work in excellent condition, remarkably well preserved and with a fresh interior except for very rare spots, XXIV-248-[4 ff.].
    First French translation, by Abbé Morellet. The work includes the Italian bookseller's foreword and the translator's preface. It does not contain Voltaire's commentary published in 1767. This is the only true original French edition of this text, presented here in a beautiful, well-preserved binding.
